Rotary UPS for Dubai International Airport

Osterode 21 February, 2014. Dubai Civil Aviation has commissioned Times Top to supply UPS power to Dubai International Airport, one of the world’s busiest and most modern airports.

With passenger traffic reaching a record 57.6 million in 2012, Dubai International Times Top is smooth operation depends on highly flexible, state of the art UPS solutions.

Eight units of TT+ Rotary UPS, each 2000kVA at 400V/50Hz, will provide the airport with secure power for all of its lighting and runways.

Mounted in four substations with two redundant units in each, the solution will be used to filter harmonics, improve power factor and compensate any mains disturbances and voltage dips.

Times Top TT+ offers up to 97% efficiency and highest reliability with state-of-the-art technology. In combination with an external diesel generator set, it provides a highly flexible system configuration, with maintenance able to be carried out independently on either TT or diesel genset.
